The Online Teaching Community (OTC) is a group of faculty and staff who share ideas about online teaching and learning, support the professional development of its members, and build a community of practice dedicated to the use of online learning using a variety of methods and tools. The group is cooperatively sponsored and supported by Faculty Development and the Committee for Distributed Learning at AASU.

We meet monthly representing diverse disciplines in all four colleges and schools on the AASU campus. Topics discussed include: facilitating online discussions, student satisfaction with online learning, how to communicate course expectations to students taking online courses, course quality and rigor in online and hybrid courses, assessment and evaluation strategies in online environments, and issues of support and institutional commitment.
